AIA San Francisco, Center for Architecture + Design
San Francisco, CA
Client: AIA San Francisco
Architect: Aidlin Darling Design
Fabricator: Martinelli Environmental Graphics
Photography: Clearstory
Located in a storefront of the historic Hallidie Building, the new Center for Architecture + Design brings people together in a physical space, creating a cultural destination that addresses the expanding and evolving needs of the architecture and design-focused communities. Clearstory worked closely with the design team to develop a signage program that is integrated into the architecture and supports the project vision. This new 10,000 sf Center is a place to showcase design-forward conversations and a presence that brings new life to San Francisco’s downtown streetscape. Designed by the award-winning architectural team Aidlin Darling Design, the new building features a cafe and retail area, gallery spaces, large lecture hall and conference rooms, flexible spaces for hosting community events and the AIASF offices.
